Vaccinations

At PVVC we offer all routine vaccinations for your equine companions.   There are four core vaccines that every horse should have: Rabies, West Nile, Tetanus, and EEE/WEE, but depending on your horse's lifestyle they may require additional vaccines such as Strangles and Rhino Flu.  Contact us to help determine the best vaccine protocol for your horses.

We also collect samples for Coggins testing (EIA) and write health certificates.  Our health certificates can be accessed online for free.

Wound Care

Did your horse get caught up in something?  Did it show up in the barn with a nasty wound without any explanation?  We know how it can be and we are here to help!  Whether they need stiches or a dressing our veterinarians are well versed in quality practices and can teach you how to care for the wound at home.

Lameness Exams

Lameness exams are conducted by our veterinarians on a firm, even surface.  This allows them to diagnosis the origin of the soundness issue.  Our veterinarians are also trained to palpate the joints and limbs, evaluate the animal's range of motion, and how the horse responds to joint flexions.  Together this will help them create a treatment plan for you to facilitate at home.

Emergency Services

If you fear that your horse may be colicing, do not hesitate to contact PVVC.  We will get a veterinarian to you and your horse as soon as we can.  In some emergent cases, your horse may be referred to Kansas State University.
